Pricing & weight details
Weights quoted are dressed weights - this means that they represent the actual weight of the meat you will take home. If you are comparing with other meat shares, some will provide pricing based on the hanging or rail weight, which is the weight of the meat share before it is processed into cuts (involving removing extra bones and fat and hanging to reduce moisture), usually 20-30% greater than the actual dressed weight. Others may quote based on the hoof weight, which is the weight of the living animal before any processing, ~50-60% greater than the dressed weights.
Pricing includes all processing, packaging fees, and delivery if you are located in Hampshire County, WV or the greater DC / Maryland / Virginia area. Deliveries to destinations outside this area may require additional shipping / delivery fees.
Meat will be delivered frozen and vacuum sealed for long-term freezer storage. We guarantee that our meat is packaged and frozen to ensure quality.
